Dr. Tolonda Tate, CEO/Founder of New Day New You Counseling and Education Services, located in Tallahassee, Florida is a Psychotherapist originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She is a graduate of The Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She relocated to Florida for graduate school, obtaining a Master of Science and Doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Credentialing agents include National Board of Certified Counselors, Florida Certification Board, and Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family and Mental Health Counseling.
Dr. Tate has over 20 years of experience in various capacities, both inpatient and outpatient in Central and North Florida to include Department of Corrections, Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program, Department of Juvenile Justice Residential Treatment Facility, Therapeutic Group Home and Community Behavioral Health.
Dr. Tate has a special interest in education and teaching Mental Health and Substance Abuse as she expands her vision at The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), where she is an adjunct professor in the Department of Education.
